During the early years of her career she worked as an educational consultant in New Delhi before she started working as a coordinator for Good Food Awareness Program in Navdanya, an NGO dedicated to training and promoting organic farming, biodiversity conservation, food and seed sovereignty, and water conservation.
She also had the opportunity to work briefly with DEENS Academy in Bangalore, where she gained insights into contemporary approaches to children's education. However, her significant professional growth occurred during her tenure at Fountainhead School (an IB World School) in Surat. Here, she embraced and implemented learner-centered teaching principles, focusing on critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills. She realized the importance of nurturing not only knowledge but also attitudes, skills, and creativity in children.
She was received Global Teacher Accreditation award by British Council and UCL for an action research done under “Connecting classrooms” initiative. At Fountainhead School, she led a learning enrichment program and mentored a team of teachers for the same. She also conducted various workshops for teachers, covering topics such as de Bono's CoRT thinking tools, Harvard's Project Zero visible thinking routines, Artful thinking and Design for Change.
She has also completed various online courses to further augment her expertise. "Student Thinking at the Core" from Vanderbilt University, "Critical Thinking in Global Challenges" from The University of Edinburgh, and "Creative Problem Solving" from the University of Minnesota are few of them. These certifications reflect her dedication to staying updated with the latest trends and methodologies in education.
